Qatar Museums Launches Global Photography Call for Under One Sky
As part of the
Years of Culture initiative,
Tasweer Photography from Qatar Museums, in collaboration with the
Art in Embassies program of the U.S. Department of State, has officially opened a global call for submissions for
Under One Sky, an upcoming traveling photographic exhibition. This exhibition, set to commence in early 2026, aims to celebrate the unity and shared spirit witnessed during the
FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The exhibition will be hosted at several Qatari embassies in
Washington D.C.,
Ottawa, and
Mexico City, precisely timed with the
FIFA World Cup 2026.
The essence of Under One Sky lies in honoring friendship and capturing the vibrant emotions and unforgettable memories of fans across the globe. Through compelling photographs and heartfelt narratives, the exhibition will highlight universal values such as joy, kindness, hospitality, and goodwill that connected people during the historic tournament.
Dr. Aisha Abdulla Hamad Al Misnad, the Deputy Director of Special Projects at Years of Culture and the driving force behind Under One Sky, commented,

Submission Details
Photographers worldwide are invited to submit their work until
January 11, 2026, at
11:59 PM Doha time (UTC+3:00). The submission is open to anyone over 18, regardless of experience level, with each participant allowed to submit one image. The accepted formats include JPEG or TIFF, with a minimum resolution of 3000 pixels on the longest side, and file sizes ranging from 3 to 8 MB. A submission link is available at
this URL. Importantly, there are no submission fees.
Categories
Participants can submit images in the following categories:
1.
The Journey – Experiences related to traveling to Qatar for the tournament.
2.
The Game – Capturing the emotions and excitement at the stadiums.
3.
After the Game – Celebrations and shared joy following the matches.
4.
The Love of Football – Showcasing global fan culture, from gatherings at home to street celebrations that honored the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Awards and Selection
A total of
50 to 70 images will be selected for display across the three host countries. The top five winners from each category will each receive a prize of
500 dollars.
The selection process will involve a panel of experts evaluating the entries. Winners will be notified via email. The final exhibition will create a visual archive centered around the people, reflecting on global football fandom and connecting memories of the FIFA World Cup 2022 with the forthcoming celebrations in host countries for the 2026 World Cup.
