Episcopal Relief & Development Launches Major Campaign for Global Support

Episcopal Relief & Development Introduces the 2025 Million Dollar Match Campaign

Episcopal Relief & Development has kicked off its much-anticipated annual Holiday Match Campaign, providing a unique opportunity for donors to enhance their contributions significantly. This year, for every dollar donated until December 31, 2025, Episcopal Relief & Development will match funds dollar-for-dollar, up to a total of $1 million. This initiative seeks to support communities plagued by poverty, disasters, and the effects of climate change.

The funds collected through this campaign will bolster the Global Needs Fund—a vital resource dedicated to ongoing work in the organization’s key priority areas. Donors can feel confident that their contributions will be used effectively to foster sustainable change within local communities. Specific efforts funded by the campaign include:

  • - Supporting Women Farmers: Empowering women farmers in rural Guatemala to enhance both climate resilience and financial stability.
  • - Educating Youth: Training young men and women in Ghana to be drivers of positive social change within their communities.
  • - Economic Empowerment: Facilitating savings groups led by participants across various nations, thereby promoting economic self-sufficiency.
  • - Nurturing Young Caregivers: Partnering with caregivers to improve the health and development of young children.
  • - Advocating for Women and Girls: Addressing and transforming harmful societal norms that place women and girls at risk of violence.
  • - Disaster Response: Providing immediate assistance in times of global disasters, conflicts, and crises, while supporting affected communities in their recovery journeys.

Betsy Deisroth, Vice President of Advancement for Episcopal Relief & Development, expressed the broader significance of the campaign, stating, "This Million Dollar Match Campaign is more than just a fundraiser; it's an invitation to be part of a compassionate community that will maximize generosity at a moment when the needs of the world feel most urgent. By contributing, our supporters aren't merely giving once but multiplying possibilities for transformation. This collective effort, powered by the dedication of our generous donors, enables us to enact durable change. We are profoundly grateful for their support."

How to Contribute
Various methods are available for donors wishing to capitalize on the dollar-for-dollar match. Contributions made before the year's end are eligible for matching, including Gifts for Life and direct donations through online platforms, phone calls, or traditional mail. Additionally, donations in the form of stocks, individual retirement accounts (IRAs), qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), and from donor-advised funds (DAFs) will also qualify for the Match Campaign.

To take part in this initiative that promises to double your donation’s impact, supporters are encouraged to contribute by December 31. Contributions might not only alleviate immediate hardships but also pave pathways toward lasting stability for countless families.

For those considering a donation, Episcopal Relief & Development offers an easy donation process through their website or by calling 1-855-312-4325.
