Symplr Secures Financing to Boost Long-Term Growth and Stability

In a strategic move to enhance its financial foundation and ensure continued growth, Symplr, a leading provider of healthcare operations software, has successfully secured commitment letters for a significant refinancing transaction. This endeavor is aimed at bolstering the company's capital structure while also improving liquidity, thereby supporting its long-term growth strategies.

The refinancing transaction, expected to conclude by the end of October, extends the maturity of Symplr's first-lien term loans and revolving credit facilities up until December 2030, with second-lien term loan maturities pushed back to June 2031. This maneuver is set to inject approximately $280 million in new capital into the business, which includes a sizable influx from its sponsors, Clearlake Capital Group and Charlesbank Capital Partners. The forthcoming financial resources will greatly enhance the company’s liquidity position, lessen immediate cash interest commitments, and provide operational flexibility.

According to Venkat Kavarthapu, CEO of Symplr, this refinancing is a pivotal step in positioning the company for its future ambitions. He emphasized that by extending debt maturities and securing substantial new investments, Symplr is granted an extended runway to actualize its strategies effectively. The CEO also highlighted the confidence demonstrated by Clearlake and Charlesbank through their continued support, indicating a strong backing from their lenders as well.

As the transaction progresses towards completion, Symplr remains dedicated to the ongoing support of its clients, development of its healthcare operations platform, and adherence to its strategic objectives. Trusted by 9 out of 10 U.S. hospitals and over 400 U.S. health plans, Symplr plays a vital role in optimizing healthcare operations through its innovative cloud-based application that includes workforce management, quality improvement, provider data management, and spend solutions, all geared towards improving patient care efficiency and outcomes.

The significance of this refinancing strategy cannot be overstated as it not only promises greater financial stability for Symplr but it also allows for strategic investments that could further streamline operations and enrich the company's service offerings. This approach will empower Symplr to capitalize on market opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends, a vital competitive advantage in the fast-paced healthcare sector.

As Symplr navigates this transformative phase, the goal clearly remains centered on delivering remarkable value to its customers while setting the stage for sustainable growth in the evolving landscape of healthcare operations.
