Experience the Charm of Edo at the 22nd Fukagawa Sakura Festival on the Water

Dive Into the Elegance of the 22nd Fukagawa Sakura Festival

The 22nd Fukagawa Sakura Festival, organized by the Fukagawa Sakura Festival Committee, is set to charm visitors once again. From March 20 to April 12, 2026, this vibrant celebration of spring will feature traditional music, unique performances, and culinary delights from local vendors, all set against the stunning backdrop of Edo-period cherry blossoms.

A Journey Back to Edo

The festival reconnects participants with the rich cultural heritage of Edo through various activities, including the much-loved "Water Cherry Blossom Viewing"—an experience that lets you admire the breathtaking cherry blossoms from a unique vantage point on the water. Participants will glide under canopies of blooming sakura, creating memories that evoke the nostalgia of old Edo.

Event Highlights

  • - Dates: March 20 (Friday, holiday) to April 12 (Sunday), 2026

The night sakura along the Oyoko River, framed by Tokyo's skyline, create a breathtaking scene, drawing both locals and visitors.
