Tokyo Prince Hotel is thrilled to announce the third edition of the "Japan Taste Tour," which will take place from October 1 to December 18, 2025. This exciting culinary event invites food lovers to indulge in the rich flavors of the Kansai and Hokuriku regions without ever leaving the heart of Tokyo.
A Culinary Journey Across Japan
Following the previous editions, which highlighted the Kanto, Koshinetsu, and Tokai regions in the first round, and the Kyushu, Okinawa, Chugoku, and Shikoku regions in the second, this third installment focuses on the culinary delights of Kansai and Hokuriku. The event aims to deliver authentic Japanese food culture, allowing guests to savor the unique dishes inspired by various local ingredients.
The star of this edition is the renowned Omi beef from Shiga Prefecture, famous for its incredible marbling and tenderness. Guests can look forward to exceptional dishes prepared by expert chefs at three participating restaurants within the hotel.
Buffet Dining at Port
One of the main attractions is the "Taste Tour Dinner Buffet" at the Buffet Dining Port. Here, you can enjoy a variety of dishes featuring Omi beef grilled on a teppanyaki grill, alongside local specialties such as roast beef marinated in Niigata’s koshihikari rice malt and Kyoto-style senmaizuke served as mini burgers. The buffet also offers seasonal delicacies like Nara's specialty dish, grilled chicken with a sukiyaki twist.

Traditional Dining at Washoku Shimizu
Those seeking a more traditional dining experience can enjoy the "Shimizu Kaiseki - Journey" at the Washoku Shimizu restaurant. This special kaiseki meal pays homage to the culinary traditions of Kansai and Hokuriku, highlighting ingredients such as fatty yellowtail caught from the nearby waters and sweet shrimp renowned for their unique texture.
The menu also includes Osaka's soul food, kushi katsu made with Omi beef, and the local Ishikawa dish, jibuni, offering a diverse tasting experience.

Chinese Cuisine at Manro Nishien
For those who love Chinese flavors, the Manro Nishien restaurant serves a special “Taste Tour Course” featuring sashimi-style yellowtail sourced from Hokuriku, uniquely roasted and served with a rich umami sauce. The Omi beef duo, paired with a Nara pickled sauce, promises a delightful textural experience.
