About Meiji Kinenkan
Established in 1881, the Main Building of Meiji Kinenkan was initially constructed as the State Banquet Hall of the Akasaka Temporary Imperial Palace. Remarkably, in 1888 it hosted crucial Imperial Conferences that deliberated on Japan's Constitution draft attended by Emperor Meiji. As a result, it has earned the title of “Kenpo Kinenkan” (Constitution Memorial Hall). Notably, after its relocation, this historic venue has hosted numerous nationally significant events, including commemorations such as the anniversary of the Meiji Constitution and the Imperial Rescript on Education. In 2020, its architectural and historical significance was recognized with its designation as a Tangible Cultural Property by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
Today, Meiji Kinenkan serves as both a wedding venue and a location for various events such as parties, conferences, and restaurants, contributing to countless celebrations. For the latest updates, be sure to visit their
official website or follow them on social media.
