USTA Coaching Program Celebrates Over 17,000 Members in Its Inaugural Year Amidst Tennis Boom
USTA Coaching Program: A Year of Growth and Opportunity
In an inspiring first year, the USTA Coaching program has surpassed the impressive milestone of 17,000 community members, reflecting the heightened interest in tennis across the United States. With over 25 million Americans actively engaging in tennis, the demand for qualified coaches has surged, prompting the USTA to expand its educational offerings and ensure that quality coaching is universally accessible.

The USTA Coaching platform went live in November, offering a staggering 1,500 hours of training across 31 different badges, 83 modules, and an extensive library of over 250 on-demand videos. The most sought-after badges include those focused on foundational coaching concepts, empowering girls in sports, and high school tennis training.
During its first year, more than 1,500 trainers participated in 135 workshops held across over 44 USTA training centers throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. This diverse outreach effort has led to a varied representation within the coaching community, with women making up 34% and coaches under the age of 30 comprising 24%.
