Bruce Patton Joins America's Automotive Trust as VP of Curation and Education
Bruce Patton Appointed as Vice President of Curation and Education
On November 19, 2025, America's Automotive Trust (AAT) made a significant announcement that Bruce Patton has joined the organization as the Vice President of Curation and Education for LeMay – America's Car Museum. Patton brings with him extensive experience from his previous role as Curator at the Savoy Automobile Museum in Georgia, where he showcased the design and history of automobiles, enhancing public appreciation for this art form.
Patton's career in the automotive industry spans several decades, including pivotal positions at Bosch. His expertise not only involves automotive mechanics but also deep knowledge of automotive history and the collector community, critical to promoting automotive culture in the United States. This dual focus on both mechanical innovation and historical significance makes him uniquely qualified to lead AAT's curation and educational initiatives.
In his new role, Patton is tasked with several responsibilities. He will guide the Museum’s exhibition strategies, ensuring the collection reflects the rich heritage of automotive history while also appealing to modern audiences. This includes overseeing collection stewardship and developing educational programs that engage visitors—especially youth—through innovative outreach efforts.
David Madeira, CEO of America's Automotive Trust, expressed great enthusiasm about Patton’s appointment. He stated, "We are absolutely delighted to have Bruce join us as our first Vice President for Curation and Education of the Trust. Bruce's experience, knowledge of the automobile, connections in the industry and collector community will bring us Curatorial leadership at a level we have never enjoyed."
Patton highlighted his excitement about this new journey, noting his intention to work closely with the Curatorial and Education teams at AAT. He aims to build on the existing accomplishments of the museum and broaden its outreach, especially through initiatives connected to the upcoming Robotics and Innovation Center. This project is viewed as essential for enhancing visitor engagement and expanding the museum’s educational offerings.
One of the key aspects of Patton's leadership will be refining the vehicle curation and programming cycles. He expressed his vision of making slight modifications in these areas to inspire greater attendance, increased membership, and overall support for the museum. By introducing new perspectives on automotive artistry and design, he hopes to make the museum not only a place of learning but also a vibrant hub for automotive enthusiasts, families, and educators.
America's Automotive Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving America’s automotive heritage and inspiring the next generation of car enthusiasts through various programs. The museum is committed to honoring the past and celebrating the current culture of cars while driving innovation for the future.
Patton’s wealth of knowledge and passion for education will be instrumental as the Trust embarks on new projects aimed at enriching the visitor experience and fostering a love for automotive history among younger generations.
