Ubicom Holdings Expands Medical Business through Strategic Acquisition
In a major strategic move,
Ubicom Holdings has finalized its acquisition of
Radianceware, a company based in Kodama-gun, Saitama Prefecture, marking a significant shift in its medical business focus. The decision was solidified during a board meeting held on March 19, 2026, concluding with the transfer of 100% equity by April 1, 2026. This acquisition is part of Ubicom's broader strategy to optimize revenue in the medical field and enhance its market position.
The acquisition facilitates a transformation towards a direct sales model that aims to leverage Radianceware's robust customer base and distribution network throughout the metropolitan and northern Kanto regions. As a result, Ubicom expects to enhance its business operations while addressing emerging market demands effectively.
Radianceware boasts an extensive portfolio of approximately 475 medical system-related clients, which will be fundamental as Ubicom expands its maintenance and service offerings. By utilizing these existing relationships, not only does Ubicom plan to increase its recurring revenue streams, but it also intends to promote the use of its proprietary products, particularly
MightyChecker® EX, within these facilities.
Moreover, efforts will be made to integrate other innovative solutions, such as the
Mighty QUBE® Hybrid into Radianceware's electronic medical record systems. This integration aims to further boost sales while contributing to enhancing revenue for medical institutions and ensuring medical safety and compliance with current work reforms.
As Ubicom integrates Radianceware into its operations, the company anticipates a dual benefit: an increase in the unit price per facility coupled with enhanced operational efficiency through the consolidation of sales channels. This strategic alignment is expected to lead to improved profitability at the consolidated level.
Expected Impact and Future Plans
Post-acquisition, Radianceware will officially become a consolidated subsidiary of Ubicom Holdings, with its financial performance reflected in Ubicom's consolidated financial statements starting in the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027. The synergy between Radianceware's growth potential and Ubicom's existing resources is anticipated to significantly elevate the group’s revenue and overall corporate value.
The Ubicom group remains committed to following through on its strategic investments and the integration of its business foundations. By addressing longstanding issues such as workforce shortages in healthcare facilities, the company aims to sustain its leading position in the medical sector and maximize its corporate value over the long term.
Ubicom Holdings, established on December 8, 2005, has built a reputable standing in providing comprehensive IT solutions, including medical safety support, data analysis, and cloud services to hospitals and clinics across Japan. This acquisition underlines the company's ongoing commitment to utilizing advanced technologies, including AI-driven analytics and automation, ensuring that it remains at the forefront of the healthcare technology industry.
