Three S Co. Launches Customized Home Care Support Services in 2025

Three S Co. to Launch Aukea Plan Center in April 2025

In an incredible step toward improving home care services, Three S Co., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, led by CEO Keitaro Chida, is all set to launch its home care support business named the Aukea Plan Center on April 1, 2025. This initiative aims to provide personalized care services tailored to individual needs and, simultaneously, improve the working conditions for caregivers while contributing to a community-based healthcare system.

Overview of Aukea Plan Center

The Aukea Plan Center, translating to 'care that suits the person,' will operate as a home care support facility where certified care managers (known as care managers or Kei-mane) assist individuals requiring care to lead self-sufficient lives. This will involve creating individualized service plans or care plans and coordinating services that suit the needs of care recipients. The center will utilize a regular visitation system, whereby care staff visit clients' homes regularly to provide care services, thus enhancing home care options and delivering personalized service.

Furthermore, Three S Co. will develop a specialized system focused on care management through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), improving both the quality of care services and operational efficiency. Initially, services will begin in the surrounding areas of Suginami, Tokyo, with plans to expand to other regions by around 2026. The center will also engage in community outreach activities, setting up consultation services and awareness campaigns to establish a strong local presence while contributing to the construction of a community-based care system, also known as Region Comprehensive Care System.

Among its noteworthy policies, Aukea Plan Center aims to create a supportive environment for those aspiring to become care managers, even if they lack prior experience in the field. Concurrently, it will introduce flexible work options, such as flextime and remote work arrangements, which are not widely adopted in the care management profession, thereby improving working conditions and labor environments.

Background of Aukea Plan Center

According to the Cabinet Office's 2021 White Paper on Aging Society, the aging rate in Japan has reached a staggering 28.8%, with a population of 36.19 million aged over 65 years. The statistics reveal that around 13.9% of the population is within the 65-74 age range, while 14.9% are aged 75 and above. This trend indicates a growing number of elderly citizens and, consequently, an anticipated sharp increase in individuals requiring care in the near future. Therefore, the inception of new care services and improvements in care workers' working conditions have become imperative, prompting Three S Co. to establish the Aukea Plan Center.

A Message from CEO Keitaro Chida

Keitaro Chida, CEO of Three S Co., shared, "At Three S, our vision is to create a world where anyone can determine their life path, no matter their circumstances. The number of individuals requiring care continues to rise; however, the reality is that very few receive care tailored to their specific needs. The name Aukea embodies our commitment to delivering personalized care. By leveraging the expertise we’ve accumulated through our regular visits and SaaS business, we aspire to support the lives of those receiving care and their families."

He further highlighted that the care sector grapples with a myriad of challenges, including workforce shortages, escalating social security costs, and declines in the quality of life for those involved. With the establishment of Aukea Plan Center, Three S hopes to take the first step toward addressing these issues while continuing to work on diverse aspects of enhancing the caregiving industry.
