In a significant move to streamline its operations and enhance its focus on core recycling activities, Ecobat, a global leader in battery recycling, has completed the sale of its battery distribution business in Europe to Endless LLP, a private equity firm based in the UK. This announcement was made on June 2, 2025, marking a new chapter in Ecobat’s strategic operations.

This European distribution division has been a critical part of Ecobat's portfolio, providing a comprehensive range of batteries across various applications. These applications range from automotive to marine, and include commercial vehicles and recreational use. The division has been instrumental in delivering high-quality energy storage solutions across the continent, featuring well-known brands such as Lucas, Exide, Varta, and Rolls.

Tom Slabe, Ecobat’s CEO, expressed his enthusiasm about the completion of the sale, stating, "We are pleased to announce the finalization of the European battery distribution sale to Endless. This transaction signifies a crucial step in our strategy to divest non-core assets and concentrate on our primary mission: the sustainable recycling of batteries.
