Comviva and Aduna Unveil Network Intelligence Innovations for Financial Services at Money20/20
Comviva and Aduna Showcase Network Intelligence for Financial Services
In a significant development at Money20/20 USA, held from October 18 to 21, 2026, in Las Vegas, Comviva, a global leader in digital transformation solutions, and Aduna, a global aggregator of standardized network APIs, revealed their collaborative advancements aimed at enhancing digital identity verification and fraud prevention in financial services. This partnership is particularly timely as it addresses rising concerns around identity theft and fraud in the industry.
The event served as a platform to showcase how their combined expertise and innovative solutions could assist financial institutions in fortifying customer identity checks, identifying unauthorized SIM card swaps, and streamlining the customer onboarding process. By harnessing network-derived insights, this collaboration intends to cultivate greater digital trust while ensuring a more seamless and secure customer experience.
This unveiling comes nearly a year after Comviva and Aduna first announced their strategic alliance in November 2025, focused on accelerating the adoption and monetization of network APIs via Comviva’s NGAGE platform. The NGAGE platform provides businesses with centralized access to communication and network APIs, while Aduna contributes standardized network capabilities from its expansive operator ecosystem. Currently, NGAGE operates on a considerable scale, supporting over 7,000 enterprises and handling more than 250 trillion messages annually across 100 industry use cases, showcasing over 40 deployments and offering 130 communication APIs alongside 25 network APIs.
For banks and fintech companies, this network-level intelligence serves as a pivotal layer for customer verification and risk assessment. Features such as phone number verification and SIM swap detection empower these institutions to detect potential fraud effectively, thereby reinforcing authentication processes and expediting KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures through reduced friction.
Highlighting Comviva’s established footprint in the financial services sector, Rajesh Chandiramani, CEO of Comviva, emphasized, "In the past year, NGAGE has matured into a unified and scalable access point for companies aiming to integrate network intelligence into their digital processes. Given the direct impact that rapid customer onboarding, robust fraud checks, and diminished reliance on one-time passwords have, financial services are a natural focus area for us. Our partnership with Aduna, combined with Tech Mahindra's reach in the BFSI sector, allows us to deliver these capabilities to a variety of financial institutions, addressing these critical challenges on a large scale."
Adding to this, Peter Arbitter, Commercial Director at Aduna Global, stressed the importance of standardization in scaling the adoption of network APIs in financial services. He stated, "Aduna facilitates standardized APIs under the CAMARA framework from leading mobile operators, thus simplifying access to reliable network information across diverse operators and markets. Our collaboration with Comviva and Tech Mahindra enables banks and fintech companies to incorporate these capabilities into their customer verification processes and fraud prevention efforts, bolstering security while reducing friction for customers."
The ongoing collaboration will continue to explore the expansion of network API utilization in financial markets while looking into applications beyond identity and fraud mitigation, such as credit risk assessment and payment intelligence. These areas represent where real-time network information can significantly enhance secure and seamless digital experiences.
At Money20/20 USA, Comviva is also set to demonstrate NGAGE, a next-generation communication-as-a-service platform powered by robust artificial intelligence engines, alongside its parent company, Tech Mahindra, at booth MC-7. The two companies will illustrate how AI, advanced analytics, network APIs, and digital platforms can empower financial institutions to accelerate innovation, strengthen fraud prevention and identity verification, and provide smoother customer experiences.
