Plenus and the Aozora Rice Field Project
Plenus, a company based in Ginza, Chuo Ward, boasts an extensive network of 2,822 locations across Japan, providing various dining options such as the popular bento chain "Hotto Motto," traditional dining restaurant "Yayoiken," shabu-shabu and dim sum at "MK Restaurant," and ramen at "KAYAVA." Since 2014, the company has been dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Japan's rice culture, ensuring that future generations appreciate this vital aspect of Japanese heritage.
As part of their commitment, Plenus initiated the Aozora Rice Field Project in 2020. This initiative involves creating a rice paddy on the rooftop of their office located in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, where they collaborate with fifth-grade students from the local Sakamoto Elementary School to engage in rice cultivation.
On May 26, the company proudly announced the seventh planting session of the project, an event that reinforces their desire to provide learning opportunities for children while imparting knowledge about the significance of rice culture. This hands-on experience allows students not only to learn about rice growth but also to understand the vital connection between agriculture and their cultural heritage.

Through these initiatives, Plenus aims to foster a deeper understanding and respect for rice cultivation among the younger generation, securing a legacy that embraces traditional values in modern society. Details about the project can be found on their official

In doing so, they not only educate future generations but also celebrate the heritage that unites them all.
