Islamic Center of Detroit's New Distribution Center and Mobile Food Truck
On February 13, 2025, the Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD) marked a significant milestone with the grand opening of Islamic Relief USA's first distribution center in Michigan. Located at the ICD facility, this center aims to tackle food insecurity and provide vital resources to families in need across the metropolitan Detroit area.
A New Hub for Supportive Services
The new distribution center will act as a crucial hub, allowing the efficient delivery of essential food items and the assembly of food boxes targeted at underserved families. With the support of Islamic Relief USA, local efforts will ensure that those facing hunger receive nutritious options.
Along with the distribution center, the ICD has launched a state-of-the-art mobile hot meals food truck. This vehicle is designed to deliver prepared meals to approximately 2,000 families daily, directly addressing the immediate need for hot, nutritious food in the community.

During the opening ceremony scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, attendees can expect several enlightening features:
