Harry Ramsden's Debuts Iconic Fish & Chips on DFDS Ferries in 2025
In a groundbreaking partnership, Harry Ramsden's, the world-renowned fish and chip brand, has teamed up with DFDS Ferries, a leading ferry service in Europe, to bring its beloved culinary offering to passengers aboard their vessels. Starting in Spring 2025, travelers aboard DFDS routes including Dover to Calais and Dover to Dunkirk will have the chance to savor the iconic taste of Harry Ramsden’s fish and chips, a staple of British cuisine.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both brands. Harry Ramsden's will be available on six DFDS ferries, with plans for the initiative to be fully operational by Easter 2025. The fleet will include three ships under British flag and three under French, providing an authentic British dining experience to visitors across the English Channel.
Harry Ramsden's innovative 'Proudly Serving' model allows them to present their world-famous fish and chips in a flexible and scalable manner. Each dish is guaranteed to be made fresh on the spot, utilizing sustainably sourced ingredients including Harry Ramsden’s secret batter recipe and premium potatoes from trusted British farms. The meticulous attention to sourcing ensures that guests can enjoy high-quality meals that reflect the restaurant’s storied legacy.
To maintain the brand's renowned standards, the new venture includes extensive training, branded packaging, and operational supervision. This is to ensure that the quality associated with Harry Ramsden's is upheld across all locations. Plans are already in place to expand the menu further by Summer 2025 to include additional offerings from Harry Ramsden’s diverse selection.
James Low, the CEO of Deep Blue Restaurants, which acquired Harry Ramsden's in 2019, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership.
