The Second Study Session for Acupuncture Students, organized by LSD Company, will take place on June 6, 2026, at the Seichiku Shiohama Acupuncture Clinic. This free seminar, designed for acupuncture students, will integrate the traditional East Asian Five Element Classification with modern scientific perspectives on autonomic nervous disorders. In recent years, conditions such as insomnia, fatigue, and heat intolerance attributed to dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system have become increasingly common complaints in acupuncture clinical practice. This seminar aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills through both theoretical and hands-on sessions.

Purpose of the Seminar

One of the key challenges for future acupuncturists is understanding the practical implications of point selection (tsubo sentai) in real-world scenarios and enhancing their ability to communicate effectively with patients. Part 1: Lecture - Understanding the Five Element Classification of the Autonomic Nervous System (60 minutes)
During this session, topics such as "Why are easily angered individuals more prone to liver issues?" and "Is insomnia primarily a heart issue or a kidney issue?" will be explored, elucidating the mechanisms behind different personality types and justifying point selections.

Part 2: Practical Session - Techniques for Moxibustion (50 minutes)
Students will gain hands-on experience with moxa sticks and moxibustion techniques. Following a demonstration by Ueda, participants can practice the techniques and receive direct feedback from the instructor, ensuring immediate integration of concepts into practice.
