Unleashed Brands and Urban Air Adventure Park Join Forces for 2026 Sock It to Cancer Campaign
The Unleashed Brands Foundation, a charitable arm of the youth enrichment platform Unleashed Brands, has announced an exciting initiative to combat pediatric cancer in collaboration with Urban Air Adventure Park and Blood Cancer United. This year's campaign, titled "Sock It to Cancer," will take place throughout September, coinciding with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Building on Past Success
Over the past two years, the partnership has successfully raised $400,000 to support pediatric cancer research, advocacy, and care. Both organizations are committed to addressing the urgent challenges posed by pediatric blood cancers, which account for nearly 40% of all pediatric cancer cases. Alarmingly, only 5% of cancer drugs have been approved for use in children. This significant gap has left families with fewer treatment options, which is an urgent issue the Unleashed Brands Foundation seeks to tackle.
In a bold move, the foundation previously pledged $1 million over five years to Blood Cancer United's Dare to Dream Project, an initiative aimed at revolutionizing treatment and care for children battling blood cancer. With the Sock It to Cancer campaign, families have a chance to actively participate in this fight against cancer, turning awareness into action.
How You Can Contribute
From September 1 to September 30, a portion of each sale from limited-edition "Sock It to Cancer" socks will be donated to support ongoing research into pediatric cancer. Specifically, 25 cents from every pair sold—both at Urban Air's physical parks and online—will contribute to this noble cause, with a goal of donating up to $200,000 during the campaign period.
Purchase Limited-Edition Socks
Parents and children can purchase these special socks at Urban Air locations or through the company's website. Every pair sold will directly fund Blood Cancer United's research initiatives aimed at developing effective treatments for childhood cancers.
Join via the KidHub App
Families can also engage in the campaign by downloading the new KidHub app, which offers new guests a special deal: a $15 Unlimited Play ticket that includes a pair of "Sock It to Cancer" socks. This initiative encourages families to enjoy a day of fun while contributing to a critical cause.
Regional Hero Program
In addition to the sock sales, Urban Air and Blood Cancer United are launching a Regional Hero program that honors twelve families who have been affected by pediatric blood cancer. These heroes will be recognized through a special event at their local Urban Air Adventure Park, where they will receive the socks alongside their communities, fostering a sense of unity and purpose.
A Call to Action
As families enter Urban Air locations throughout September, they are invited to take a stand against pediatric cancer. Michael Browning Jr., Founder and CEO of Unleashed Brands, emphasizes the foundation's commitment to supporting kids during their most challenging times. He believes that as they provide fun experiences for families, they also carry a responsibility to champion causes like childhood cancer awareness and support.
"Sock It to Cancer" represents more than just a campaign; it is a movement to unite families and community members in the fight against pediatric cancer, ensuring that every child has the chance to achieve their dreams and live a full life.
