Array Digital Infrastructure Welcomes Anthony Carlson as New President and CEO



On November 7, 2025, Array Digital Infrastructure, Inc. (NYSE: AD) and its parent company, Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. (NYSE: TDS), announced the appointment of Anthony Carlson as President and CEO of Array Digital Infrastructure, effective November 16, 2025. Anthony Carlson is set to join the Array Board of Directors as he assumes this pivotal role. His responsibilities will include overseeing the operations and strategic initiatives tied to Array’s impressive portfolio of 4,400 owned cell towers, managing partnerships, and optimizing retained wireless spectrum interests. Walter Carlson, President and CEO of TDS and Chair of the Array Board, expressed confidence about Anthony's leadership. Before this appointment, Anthony Carlson accumulated extensive expertise in the telecommunications field. He joined UScellular in 2020, where he quickly excelled through numerous positions in sales, marketing, and financial analysis, culminating as Senior Director of Growth Marketing Strategy and Execution from December 2021 to September 2024. Before being appointed to his new role, he served as the Vice President of Organizational Transformation at TDS Telecom since September 2024, guiding senior leadership in mapping TDS’s future direction. Anthony’s previous roles at McKinsey & Company and Samsung Electronics further solidify his credentials within the industry.

Anthony graduated from Harvard College and later earned an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, grounding his leadership in strong business acumen and academic excellence.

Alongside this new leadership appointment, the interim President and CEO of Array, Doug Chambers, will be stepping down from the Array Board on November 16, 2025. However, he will remain with the company in a Senior Advisor role until December 9, 2025, ensuring a smooth transition. Walter Carlson commended Doug for his significant contributions over the past two decades, particularly praising his financial leadership which played a crucial part during transformative phases, including the sale of UScellular’s wireless operations to T-Mobile US, Inc., and the launch of Array as a newly branded tower enterprise.

Array Digital Infrastructure is recognized as a leading owner and operator of shared wireless communication infrastructures across the U.S. The company’s portfolio of more than 4,400 cell towers facilitates the deployment of advanced technologies like 5G, thereby enhancing connectivity across the nation. Notably, as of September 30, 2025, TDS owns approximately 82% of Array, illustrating the strong backing and support for the company’s ambitious plans.
