Art Meets Sake: A Charity Exhibition to Support Disaster Recovery

Art Meets Sake: A Charity Exhibition

A unique marriage of art and sake is set to take place in Tokyo's Ebisu district this October. The exhibition titled 'Thank You - Sake Label Exhibition XV', is organized by GALERIE Malle and supported by Ichinokura Co., Ltd. The initiative aims to aid in recovery efforts from the Great East Japan Earthquake and will also include a traveling exhibit.

The main exhibition opens on October 28, 2025, and will run until November 2, 2025. During this time, visitors can expect a vibrant display of 31 pieces of art, including illustrations and prints from various artists. Notably, acclaimed artist Akiko Ikeda, known for her work with the beloved character 'Dayan the Cat' from the popular series 'Wachifield,' will also feature her art in the exhibition.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these artworks will be donated to support children affected by the earthquake through the Ashinaga organization. Not only can art enthusiasts purchase original pieces, but they will also have the opportunity to buy Daiwa-den, a special junmai sake designed to showcase the works of the participating artists, provided by Ichinokura.
