Yamaha Music Foundation's 2026 Scholarship Program
The Yamaha Music Foundation, headquartered in Meguro, Tokyo, has revealed its five chosen candidates for the 2026 "Music Scholarship Support" program. This initiative is integral in identifying and nurturing the next generation of musicians expected to excel in the music industry.
The Scholarship Program
Established to support young talented musicians, the Yamaha Music Scholarship provides financial assistance to those aiming to forge a successful career in the music world. Participants must be between 13 to 25 years old and enrolled in recognized educational institutions focused on music across Japan and internationally. This year, the foundation received applications from 98 candidates, ultimately selecting five outstanding individuals to receive support. These scholars will each receive a monthly grant of 200,000 yen for a year, with the potential for continuation for up to two years pending ongoing assessments.

Chitoyo Shinozaki (Violin) - Studying at Toho College of Music.
4.
Sara Furuichi (Viola) - Pursuing studies at the Hanns Eisler School of Music.
5.
Yoyoka Souma (Drums) - A student from Mount Olive Innovation and Technology High School.
