Upcoming Event: 8th Bio Healthcare Venture Conference

The Academia-originated Bio Healthcare Venture Association is thrilled to announce its upcoming conference, titled "Survival Strategies for Bio Healthcare Ventures." Taking place on September 30, 2025, at 18:30, this event aims to address the crucial strategies for success in the bio healthcare sector.

Organized by the Seed Planning Co., Ltd., the event's president, Ryuichi Morishita, who is also a professor at Osaka University, will kick off the evening with an opening address. Participants can look forward to insightful talks from distinguished guests, including Tetsuya Kihira, the head of Pharmaceutical Review and Management at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and Naotaka Ikeda, General Manager at the Tokyo Stock Exchange’s Listing Division. Each will be sharing perspectives on the current landscape and future directions of bio healthcare ventures.

Purpose and Background of the Association

Founded on May 22, 2023, the Bio Healthcare Venture Association is an evolution from the previous University-Originated Bio Venture Association. The association's main goal is to promote bio ventures and startups while facilitating collaborations between academia, industry, and government. We emphasize the importance of supporting businesses that spin off from academic research in medical and biotechnology fields, advancing commercialization of their research, and fostering new industries. Through this initiative, we provide a platform aimed at contributing to the health and welfare of Japan.

To accomplish these goals, the association will engage in raising awareness of entrepreneurial spirit, providing commercialization support for research outcomes, strengthening partnerships with industries, facilitating fundraising, and nurturing human resources.

• - Access: A 3-minute walk from Yushima Station on the Chiyoda Line and a 6-minute walk from Suehirocho Station on the Ginza Line.
• - Participation: Registration is required in advance.
• - Fees: Free for members of the association; non-members are charged 5,000 yen (pre-payment required).
