LaSalle Investment Management Expands Affordable Housing Team with New Leadership Appointments

LaSalle Investment Management Strengthens Affordable Housing Division

LaSalle Investment Management, a prominent global real estate investment management firm, made headlines recently by announcing the appointment of seasoned professionals Russell Ginise and Kyle Winning. Effective April 1, 2026, Ginise joins as Executive Managing Director of Portfolio Management, with Winning taking up the role of Senior Managing Director of Portfolio Management. Together, they will spearhead LaSalle’s initiatives focused on affordable housing, a sector increasingly pivotal due to rising housing demands, evolving public policies, and the need for long-term capital solutions.

The Importance of Affordable Housing

The landscape of affordable housing is becoming crucial in today's economic environment. With many cities experiencing skyrocketing living costs, the demand for sustainable housing solutions is paramount. LaSalle recognizes the significance of investing in affordable housing not only from a business perspective but also as part of their commitment to social responsibility. By enhancing their team with industry veterans like Ginise and Winning, LaSalle aims to deepen its impact in this vital area.

Experienced Leaders Join the Team

Russell Ginise brings an extensive background in affordable and multifamily housing to LaSalle. Before his new appointment, he served as the President of Walker & Dunlop Affordable Preservation. His leadership there encompassed initiatives in affordable housing preservation and workforce housing, and he played a crucial role in investment opportunities within qualified opportunity zones. Ginise's lifetime achievements in real estate include involvement in over 100,000 apartment units across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. His memberships with organizations like the Urban Land Institute further solidify his expertise.

Ginise holds a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, equipping him with the educational background to navigate the complexities of real estate law and investment.

Kyle Winning comes to LaSalle with impressive credentials as well. As the former Chief Investment Officer at Walker & Dunlop Affordable Preservation, he successfully oversaw a vast portfolio, including a significant focus on affordable housing. Winning’s career highlights include holding pivotal roles in the management of over 50,000 multifamily units, roughly half of which were designated as affordable housing. His educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Knox College and an MBA from Rice University, adding a strong foundation of financial acumen to his role.

LaSalle’s Vision and Strategy

Richard Kleinman, Chief Investment Officer for the Americas at LaSalle, expressed his enthusiasm for welcoming Ginise and Winning into their team, recognizing their combined expertise as a formidable asset that can enhance LaSalle's investment platform. Kleinman stated, “Their experience across affordable and multifamily housing further strengthens our Americas investment platform and reinforces our focus on generating long-term value for clients in an increasingly important market segment.”

With these new appointments, LaSalle aims to leverage Ginise and Winning's relationships and knowledge to foster growth within the affordable housing segment, which is not only vital for meeting market demand but also for promoting social equity.
