About Yasuhiro Tsuchida

Born in Osaka in 1969, Yasuhiro Tsuchida is the only Japanese glass artist based in Murano, Venice. Recognized for his strong concepts and poetic expressions, he has been dubbed the “Poet of Glass.” His work transcends genres, as he collaborates actively with literature, architecture, film, fashion, and music. In 2021, his documentary directed by Atsushi Tanabe was showcased at 11 film festivals worldwide, clinching five awards. His comprehensive art event, “Art Evenings”, is well-received for blending reading, music, and cuisine, attracting around 1,700 participants across seven cities in 2024. In 2025, Tsuchida will embark on a graduate program at Keio University and was selected as one of the “15 Creators Representing Osaka” in the Louis Vuitton City Guide Osaka 2025.
