Celebrating 200 Years: A Journey of Naito Brewing Company in Aichi

Naito Brewing Company: A 200-Year Legacy

As Naito Brewing Company approaches its 200th anniversary in 2026, the family-owned sake maker from Aichi Prefecture reflects on two centuries of tradition and community support. Founded in 1826, Naito Brewing has been dedicated to crafting high-quality sake, all while building lasting connections with the local community and beyond.

A Tribute to a Legacy

Naito Brewing recognizes that reaching this significant milestone is a celebration of its longevity and the invaluable support from customers, partners, and the local community. To honor this journey, the company is launching a special project that aims not only to express gratitude but also to create a vision for the future. This initiative is a heartfelt acknowledgment of everyone who has supported the brewery through the decades.

Project Overview

The 200th-anniversary project is structured into three engaging phases:
1. Phase 1: Gathering Gratitude Messages – This participatory effort encourages people to share their messages of gratitude to be featured on a mosaic art label for the commemorative sake.
2. Phase 2: Presentation of Commemorative Sake – Launching the special sake alongside a call for celebration photos and videos.
3. Phase 3: Release of a Special Commemorative Video – Showcasing the rich history and future aspirations of Naito Brewing.

Phase 1: Crafting Gratitude for the Future

During the first phase, Naito Brewing invites everyone to submit messages meant for the future. These messages could be for oneself, family, friends, or anyone special in their lives. Each message will be carefully collected and transformed into a mosaic artwork, which will become an integral part of the commemorative sake label.

This endeavor embodies 200 years of gratitude and future hopes, promising to create a unique product that tells a story. Notably, participants under 20 years of age are also welcome to contribute.

Special Incentives for Participants

To reward contributions, Naito Brewing offers several incentives:
  • - Grand Prize for Most Impactful Message: A Amazon gift card worth 10,000 JPY and a bottle of the commemorative sake (given only to participants 20 years and older). For participants under 20, they will receive only the gift card.
  • - Runner-Up Prizes: 200 samples of the commemorative sake (100ml) will be randomly selected among participants 20 years and older, while those under 20 will receive a 500 JPY Amazon gift card.
  • - Participation Reward: Every participant will receive the label data for the completed commemorative sake design, which will be sent via email by mid-May 2026.

How to Participate

Interested individuals can submit their messages via the dedicated web form on Naito Brewing's official 200th-anniversary site. Additionally, a QR code will be available for easy access. The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2026.
