On August 21, 2025, the Japan Association for Municipal Digital Transformation (GDX) will host an online report conference titled "2025 Municipal DX Awareness and Reality Survey II." This event aims to share the current state and challenges of digital transformation (DX) across municipalities in Japan, based on recent survey results. Background

In recent years, Japanese municipalities have faced an urgent need to improve resident services and enhance operational efficiencies through digital transformation. However, many local governments encounter common constraints such as a lack of skilled personnel, budgetary challenges, and insufficient expertise. To address these issues, GDX has regularly conducted awareness and reality surveys among municipal employees. The results of this year's survey are set to be disseminated widely during the upcoming online conference.
