Voltage Energy Unveils Next-Gen Wiring Solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026
From June 23 to 25, 2026, Voltage Energy Group, a global leader in Electrical Balance of System (EBOS) solutions for large-scale solar power plants, presented its cutting-edge prefabricated wiring solutions, namely LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS, at Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich. The company demonstrated how these flagship products integrate seamlessly into a comprehensive EBOS system, aimed at facilitating the next generation of high-voltage and high-performance solar projects.
Addressing Industry Needs with Comprehensive Solutions
As large-scale solar farms shift towards higher power and voltage architectures, Voltage Energy has expanded its offerings beyond individual wiring products. The company's prefabricated wiring solutions are designed to cover a wide spectrum of applications concerning electrical load capacity. By using these advanced systems, developers and EPC providers can optimize project planning, reduce installation complexity, and enhance the long-term reliability of installations.
Compared to traditional installation methods that require each cable to be laid individually, Voltage Energy’s solutions can lower cable usage by up to 33% and reduce installation time by as much as 50%. These improvements contribute to accelerated project timelines and enhanced delivery efficiency. Bob Slack, CTO of Voltage Energy, states, “Solar developers and EPC companies are under increasing pressure to deliver larger projects with fewer installation resources and tighter timeframes. We believe the future of EBOS lies in integrated system-level solutions that simplify implementation, reduce project Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), and prepare customers for high-voltage architectures.”
Diverse Solutions for Varying Electrical Capacity Challenges
Voltage Energy's lineup includes LYNX PLUS, IBEX PLUS, as well as LYNX, IBEX, and ALEX, designed to accommodate different project topologies and electrical loads. LYNX PLUS, developed for higher current applications, supports main conductor capacities of up to 400 mm2 (853 A). This solution significantly reduces voltage drop by up to 34% compared to conventional 240 mm2 designs, eliminating the need for standard combiner boxes, thereby simplifying installation and maintenance.
IBEX PLUS tackles the critical middle current range of 70-168 A. With its 97% flexible aluminum cable design, it is up to 41% lighter than traditional copper alternatives and can lower capital costs by as much as 27%. The hybrid copper-aluminum interfaces provide designers with additional flexibility while optimizing material and logistics.
Built for 2 kV Solar Installations
Voltage Energy integrates innovative flexible aluminum conductors, optimized electrical arrangements, and 2 kV-capable architectures into its prefabricated EBOS solutions. This positions the company to enhance installation efficiency while meeting the evolving demands of utility-scale solar plants. Both LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS have received UL 2 kV certification in the US, with European certification processes currently underway, allowing Voltage Energy to support the broader adoption of advanced system-level EBOS solutions across Europe.
