Midea Building Technologies Showcases Innovative HVAC Solutions at C&R 2025 in Madrid

Midea Building Technologies Unveils Advanced HVAC Solutions at C&R 2025

Midea Building Technologies (MBT) recently showcased their latest high-efficiency heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions at the C&R 2025 exhibition held in Madrid. The event served as a platform for MBT to reaffirm their commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge technology. Among the highlights was the introduction of their next-generation R32 VRF system, making its international debut at this major trade fair. This innovative system is accompanied by the MagBoost Apex Pro centrifugal chiller and the Mars Large R290 heat pump, which received recognition in the Innovation Gallery for their groundbreaking designs and eco-friendly features.

Right on Target with Efficiency

The R32 VRF system presented is not only efficient but also reliable for commercial buildings. It comes equipped with a fully sealed control box rated at IP68 and features phase change refrigerant cooling technology. This allows it to achieve a cooling capacity that is 3.5 times greater than conventional designs. Moreover, with a G-type heat exchanger reaching up to 310 degrees, it boasts a 32% increase in thermal exchange surface area within the same footprint. This system offers chilling and heating capacities ranging from 25.2 kW to 45 kW, providing maximum flexibility and energy savings across various commercial applications.

Eco-Friendly Innovations

The Mars Large R290 heat pump, which has been selected for the C&R 2025 Innovation Gallery, is emblematic of MBT’s commitment to ecological sustainability. Utilizing R290 refrigerant, it is designed to minimize environmental impact with negligible global warming potential. It can deliver hot water temperatures of up to 85°C and operates effectively even under low ambient temperature conditions. Compact in size at 1.96 square meters, it features heating capacities between 50 and 70 kW, making it suitable for diverse applications. The four-sided access panel simplifies maintenance, positioning it as an ideal solution for both residential and commercial use.

The MagBoost Apex Pro also joins the ranks of innovative solutions. This state-of-the-art chiller features magnetic bearing technology and a refrigerant-cooled variable frequency drive (VFD) with microchannel technology, offering silent operation and high efficiency over a wide range of uses. Designed for data centers and large commercial projects, the MagBoost Apex Pro provides sustainable options that significantly lower energy consumption and operational costs.

In addition to these highlighted products, MBT introduced a comprehensive range of solutions tailored to various needs. From residential systems designed for comfort to agile solutions for small businesses and robust systems suitable for larger buildings, MBT's offerings range from the EasyFit VRF system to the Quantum series, enabling flexible installation in commercial spaces. The ultra-high temperature water vapor compressor produces steam at temperatures between 150°C and 200°C, making it an ideal substitute for traditional steam boilers in industrial applications. Furthermore, the air-cooled AquaThermal Max Inverter heat pump with R32 refrigerant offers easy maintenance and environmentally friendly features, suitable for both commercial and industrial applications.

Leading the Charge in Energy Efficiency

Continuing its leadership in energy efficiency, MBT has unveiled the iEasyEnergy integrated smart energy solution. This innovation simplifies installations while optimizing energy use across solar systems, storage solutions, and heat pumps. It enhances home comfort and efficiency while ensuring energy self-sufficiency, safety, and savings on energy bills.

MBT's innovative solutions have already made a significant impact across Europe. Their comprehensive HVAC solutions and intelligent management strategies are transforming projects such as the Sustainable Housing Complex at the University of Malta into dynamic research labs. In Estonia, the Mercedes-Benz dealership benefits from eight units of the Mars Large R290 heat pump, providing stable, efficient heating and hot water solutions with low carbon emissions throughout the year. Additionally, the HVAC solution at the Town Hall in Spain optimizes climate control while significantly reducing energy consumption and improving air quality.

In summary, MBT's presence at the C&R 2025 exhibition in Madrid highlighted their ongoing dedication to sustainability and innovation, showcasing products aimed at driving energy efficiency and supporting the advancement of smart building technologies for a sustainable future.
