SINEXCEL's New Energy Storage Project in Bulgaria Enhances European Grid Flexibility

SINEXCEL Expands Energy Storage Capacity in Bulgaria

SINEXCEL has proudly announced the successful deployment of its energy storage project in Bulgaria, showcasing a robust capacity of 10 MW and 33.86 MWh. As the company continues to broaden its footprint within the European market, this project undertakes a pivotal role in enhancing the stability and flexibility of the energy grid across Europe.

Project Overview

Located strategically to optimize energy trading and market arbitrage, the project is designed to facilitate immediate balancing services that bolster local grid stability. The heart of the operation lies in using four cutting-edge Power Conversion Systems (PCS) with a capacity of 1,725 kW each, boasting an impressive maximum efficiency of up to 98.5%.

The technical advantages of the 1,725 kW PCS include:
  • - Advanced Multilevel Technology: Enhances battery protection while allowing flexible chain configurations ranging from one to eight batteries.
  • - Rapid Response Time: A remarkable response time of just 10 milliseconds ensures real-time network balancing and seamless integration into the national grid.
  • - Resilient Box Design: With a NEMA 3R rating, the PCS design allows for reliable and high-performance operation in adverse outdoor conditions.

Importantly, the PCS also complies with essential regulatory and grid standards across North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, and China, ensuring smooth deployment in various markets.

Funding and Future Plans

This initiative, located at coordinates 43°21'03.5" N latitude and 25°33'43.6" E longitude, received a non-collateralized financing from DSK Bank Bulgaria on September 20, 2025. The project is scheduled to be fully operational by March 30, 2026, reflecting a strong market confidence in SINEXCEL’s capabilities to deliver reliable energy storage solutions.

With a global presence spanning over 40 countries and an installed capacity surpassing 15 GW/40 GWh, SINEXCEL continues to position itself as an industry leader with more than 5,000 successful deployments. This Bulgarian project not only emphasizes the company’s technical prowess but also its steadfast commitment to fostering a resilient, sustainable, and economically viable energy future.
