Celebrating BARBAPAPA WEEK: A Joyful Event for Fans and Families

The much-loved character, Barbapapa, is taking center stage as we celebrate BARBAPAPA WEEK! From April 18 to April 30, 2022, Styling Life Holdings Plaza Style Company is hosting an array of exciting events and product launches to honor this iconic character. The festivities kick off in recognition of April 22, which is celebrated as Barbapapa Day.

Exciting Collaboration Launches

On the first weekend of BARBAPAPA WEEK, specifically April 18 and 19, the collaboration products for 2026's spring/summer collection, in partnership with SHIPS, will officially launch. To mark the occasion, there's a special greeting event at the SHIPS OUTLET store in Iruma. Fans can engage with their favorite character during this event, which unfolds with two exciting sessions on both days at 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM.

Unique Photo Opportunities

While BARBAPAPA WEEK is in full swing, visitors can also enjoy unique photo spots at Kichijoji Petit Village. Here, a new art-inspired installation featuring fruits, themed exclusively for Japan, will make its debut. Visitors can spot the adorable Barbabelle, transformed into a cat, hiding within the quaint boutique 'Futaneko' on the third floor! Those who follow the social media accounts and purchase related merchandise will receive a special novelty sticker. Please note that we ask all guests to refrain from touching the display panels to ensure the preservation of the artwork. Weather conditions may affect operations, so please check updates accordingly.

Special Celebrations on Barbapapa Day

April 22 marks a significant day as it’s not only Barbapapa Day but also coincides with Earth Day and Good Couple Day. The day commemorates the character’s 50th anniversary, which was celebrated in 2020 upon reaching this landmark. This special date aligns beautifully with the values and warm family image associated with Barbapapa's universe.

Nationwide Promotions

From April 24 until May 13, 2022, viewers can partake in the “BARBAPAPA, The Juiceful Way to be” promotion at PLAZA outlets across the country. A string of delightful items themed around the colorful and vibrant Barbapapa family and fresh fruits will be available for customers.

Barapapa Car Tour

On April 25, the highly anticipated BARBAPAPA CAR TOUR will take its exciting route through Kichijoji. The charmingly vintage and nature-filled city invites families for a leisurely drive, celebrating the joy of being together. Keep an eye out as the route and timing may be adjusted without notice.

Unique Exhibitions

The fascinating ‘OBAKE?’ exhibition will be hosted at the Takayanagi Uichi Memorial Museum in Shichinohe, Aomori on the same day. Visitors can interact with a pink Barbapapa in a dedicated zone, and there's a range of exclusive merchandise as well as an enchanting storybook corner showcasing Barbapapa-themed furniture.

Exciting Store Openings

The celebration continues with the grand opening of PLAZA at the LaLaport Izumi store on April 28 and 29! The opening will feature a special greeting event along with novelty giveaways.

Event Schedule

On April 28, the PLAZA store will present two greeting sessions at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. On April 29, the same schedule will apply, with a brief appearance of our beloved Barbapapa. Please be advised the schedule may change, and guests will be arranged in line for photo opportunities.
