Amorepacific Showcases Innovative K-Beauty Science at NYSCC Event

Amorepacific’s Commitment to K-Beauty Innovation

In a recent highlight at the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC), Amorepacific showcased its dedication to a science-led approach in the K-beauty industry in the United States. As the demand for innovative skincare continues to rise, the company is positioning itself as a leader, emphasizing the importance of clinical research and ingredient science in developing high-quality beauty products.

Engaging with the Cosmetic Chemistry Community

On June 18, 2026, during the NYSCC Scientific Committee Event, Jinseob Shin, Vice President of Amorepacific’s Americas RI Center, took to the stage to present findings from a significant clinical study titled "Split-Face Micro Needling Study of a Barrier-Strengthening Formula." This study, conducted in collaboration with Dr. Jane Yoo, an esteemed Assistant Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, explored the efficacy of AESTURA's barrier-strengthening technology. The results shared during the presentation shed light on the tangible benefits of this innovative formula, specifically its ability to enhance hydration, support skin recovery, and improve overall skin texture after micro-needling procedures.

Spotlight on Emerging Ingredients

Amorepacific’s contributions at the NYSCC continued with its participation in Suppliers’ Day, held on May 19-20, where Michelle Shieh, the brand's Derma Science Director, discussed the practical applications of several cutting-edge ingredients. Her talk, titled "Ingredient Reality Check: PDRN, Spicules, Exosomes Beyond," highlighted Amorepacific's commitment to exploring the potential of these emerging components. One of the remarkable findings presented was that PDRN nano-liposomes demonstrated enhanced delivery abilities, allowing for up to 7.8 times better absorption than traditional liposomes. This insight into product efficacy is crucial as Amorepacific continues to develop impactful skincare solutions.

Growth and Future Directions

The momentum of Amorepacific’s growth is evident, with the company experiencing a 20% increase in its Americas business year-over-year as of 2025, which is complemented by the recent introduction of its derma brands like IOPE and AESTURA to the North American market. Leveraging over 70 years of expertise in skin science, Amorepacific aims to cater to the specific needs and preferences of local consumers through its research initiatives at the Americas RI Center.

Elevating K-Beauty Standards

"At Amorepacific, we aim to drive the next generation of K-beauty forward by focusing on innovations that enhance long-term skin health and well-being," stated Shin. As the company continues to expand its footprint in North America, the focus remains on translating its global research efforts into practical skincare solutions that resonate with dermatological professionals and industry collaborators. This commitment to integrating advanced research with consumer needs marks a promising step forward for K-beauty in the evolving cosmetics landscape.

With Amorepacific at the forefront of ingredient science and skincare formulation, the future looks bright for the K-beauty industry, promising not only aesthetic delights but also a deeper emphasis on the holistic health of the skin.
