Kolmar Korea Sets A New Standard in Beauty Tech at CES 2026

Kolmar Korea, a prominent player in the beauty industry, recently made headlines by winning the coveted Best of Innovation Award at CES 2026 in the Beauty Tech category. Not only did their groundbreaking Scar Beauty Device capture this prestigious accolade, but it also secured an Innovation Award in the Digital Health category, making it a standout in this year’s event.

CES, known as the world's largest and most influential technology exhibition, saw fierce competition amongst top innovators. The Scar Beauty Device's dual recognition showcases Kolmar Korea's commitment to innovation and excellence in technology. This award is particularly noteworthy as it represents the first time a cosmetic firm has been honored with such a recognition, positioning Kolmar Korea as a pioneer in the global beauty technology market.

The Scar Beauty Device embodies the concept of an integrated solution for both scar treatment and aesthetic coverage. Traditionally, individuals would rely on topical ointments to treat scars followed by applying makeup to conceal their appearance. However, Kolmar's device seamlessly combines both functions into a sleek, user-friendly product that can deliver results in just 10 minutes.

At the heart of its technology lies artificial intelligence and piezoelectric micro-delivery systems. When utilized, users can capture an image of their scar using a mobile application. The AI algorithm processes the image, categorizes it into one of twelve distinct scar types, and performs a thorough analysis of its condition. Following this analysis, a customized therapeutic solution is precisely administered to the scar.

In addition, the device mixes and sprays a suitable cosmetic foundation by blending over 180 shades to match the user's skin tone. This innovative micro-delivery technology operates akin to an inkjet printer, applying the treatment without varying heat levels, ensuring a gentle and effective application.

Kolmar Korea's Scar Beauty Device has received high accolades not only for its innovative technology but also for its intuitive UI/UX design. Users have reported a significant enhancement in their experience, allowing for real-time tracking and management of the treatment dosage through their smartphone screens. Designed with accessibility in mind, the device is expected to appeal to a broad consumer base, significantly improving usability.

Looking ahead, Kolmar Korea plans to officially launch the Scar Beauty Device in the first half of 2026, with large-scale customer acquisition efforts commencing in the latter half of the year. Furthermore, the company is committed to expanding its software capabilities to apply the piezoelectric micro-delivery technology in developing customized cosmetics, coupled with advancements in smart factory developments through government-led AI Transformation initiatives.

A spokesperson from Kolmar Korea emphasized the importance of this achievement, stating, "This Best of Innovation Award is a reflection of our dedication not just to technology but to enhancing user experience and addressing real-life challenges faced by consumers. We will continue to expand the integration of AI, IoT, and big data across our cosmetic development and service offerings."

They also noted, "Through ongoing innovation that incorporates artificial intelligence and digital technologies, Kolmar Korea is set to lead the future of beauty technology globally."

At this year’s CES, Kolmar Korea demonstrated its cutting-edge technology at their booth located at the Venetian Expo, showcasing live demonstrations of its diagnostics solution, CAIOME, which is based on scalp microbiome analysis and aims to enhance customer care in the beauty sector.
