The Importance of Consumer Safety

The CPSC operates as a critical agency dedicated to protecting consumers from unjustifiable risks arising from a wide variety of goods. The impact of product-related incidents is staggering, costing over $1 trillion annually in injuries, deaths, and property damage. Having been established over 50 years ago, CPSC continually strives for enhanced safety across all consumer products, contributing significantly to a decline in related incidents.

It is vital for products currently under recall to be removed from circulation instantly, as federal law strictly prohibits the sale of items linked to CPSC-ordered recalls.
