Newmark Facilitates Financing for Acquisition of Boca Raton's Landmark Innovation Campus

Major Financing Milestone for Boca Raton Innovation Campus

On September 17, 2026, Newmark Group, Inc. announced a significant achievement in the commercial real estate sector: the successful arrangement of financing for Related Ross's acquisition of the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC), a sprawling 1.7 million-square-foot facility in Florida. BRiC spans an impressive 124 acres and is established as a premier office and technology campus.

Newmark's seasoned team, including Co-President of Global Debt & Structured Finance Jordan Roeschlaub, Vice Chairman Nick Scribani, and Managing Director John Caraviello, worked closely with Executive Vice Chairman Josh King to orchestrate the financing through Ares, a key player in the financial sector.

A Vision for Transformative Development

Scribani expressed enthusiasm for the BRiC acquisition, noting that Related Ross has consistently set benchmarks in the office sector by creating workplaces that enhance how businesses and communities interact. He emphasized that BRiC provides a pivotal opportunity for substantial development that merges its rich legacy with the necessary scale and strategic location in South Florida.

Situated at 5000 T-Rex Avenue, this campus was originally developed by IBM as its North American research and development headquarters. BRiC is notable for being the birthplace of the iconic IBM personal computer, marking its importance in tech history and as one of the largest employment hubs in Boca Raton.

The campus features a rich array of amenities designed for modern business needs. Among its offerings are two cafés, an 800-seat presentation hall, numerous event spaces, and direct shuttle service to the Boca Raton Tri-Rail station, all of which enhance both accessibility and productivity for companies operating within.

Furthermore, its prime location in close proximity to Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton Airport, and key Interstate 95 interchanges bolsters its attractiveness as a desirable address for various enterprises.

A Bright Future Ahead

Moving forward, Related Ross plans to maintain BRiC's operations as a hub for office and tech-related companies while simultaneously implementing a long-term vision that will enrich the campus with curated amenities, retail options, and diverse dining experiences.

The acquisition not only signifies Related Ross's expanded presence across Palm Beach County but also marks its initial foray into Boca Raton, broadening its footprint in a region recognized for its vibrant business ecosystem.
