On May 16, 2026, the NPO Tokyo Silver Support Center will host the Shukatsu Fair 2026 at the Rakan Hall in Meguro, Tokyo. This event focuses on the theme,
"Both the solitary and their supporters thinking about the future together," ensuring that individuals can proactively prepare for their future and that of their loved ones through experiences and consultations. Entrance is free, with no reservations needed, allowing guests to come and go as they please.
Highlights of the Fair
1. Special Performance of the 'Nokkan no Gi'
A unique feature of the fair is the special demonstration of the
Nokkan no Gi, which recreates a scene from the movie
Hodo Naku, O Wakare Desu. This ceremony, typically not witnessed by many, will be showcased with professional commentary, providing insights into the sacred practices of preparing the deceased.
- - Times: First session at 11:00 AM and second session at 1:30 PM (each lasting approximately one hour).
2. Ten Professional-led 'Shukatsu' Seminars
Attendees can participate in ten mini-seminars covering various important topics such as the basics of nursing care insurance, inheritance strategies, choosing a suitable nursing home, and the necessity of wills. Each seminar aims to educate and empower attendees in their life planning.
3. Experience Zone
A popular highlight is the
Rogo Risk Diagnosis, which allows attendees to understand their current situation better. Additionally, the fair offers
Dementia Diagnosis and
Ending Games, which help visualize necessary preparations for the future.
4. Individual Consultation Area with Experts
Visitors will have the opportunity to engage directly with professionals such as lawyers, tax accountants, caregivers, and funeral service providers. This one-stop consultation area aims to address various concerns related to life planning comprehensively.
