During the opening ceremony, Peter Wilson, the British Ambassador to China, highlighted Chongqing's evolution, stating, "Chongqing has transitioned from a center of heavy industries to a dynamic base for advanced manufacturing and modern services. It is now a gateway to Western China and an increasingly vital node in the global supply chain."

Ambassador Wilson further noted that the UK's focus on advanced manufacturing, digitalization, green growth, and innovation aligns perfectly with the developments in Chongqing, creating a robust foundation for future cooperation.

In a similar vein, Kim Dae-soon, the Vice Governor of Gyeonggi province, commented on the trust and partnership between Gyeonggi and Chongqing, emphasizing the potential for deepened cooperation to further enhance economic relations between China and Korea.

In a significant move, Chongqing unveiled its investment opportunity list for the first time during this event, which outlines 277 projects valued at nearly 580 billion yuan. These projects span five key areas: modern industrial clusters, scientific and technological innovation, new energy developments, internal opening centers, and urban governance and modernization.

The event also featured a grand signing ceremony, where 212 projects were signed across sectors including smart vehicles, next-generation electronic information, and biomedicine, showcasing the fair's role as a catalyst for economic and technological advancement.
