BLUETTI Teams Up with Footprint Project to Provide Clean Energy During Storms

BLUETTI and Footprint Project Join Forces for Clean Energy Support

In a pivotal announcement, BLUETTI, renowned for its clean energy innovations, revealed its strategic collaboration with the non-profit organization, Footprint Project. This partnership aims to fortify communities impacted by natural disasters, particularly during the impending hurricane season. The union combines BLUETTI’s expertise in advanced energy technology with the Footprint Project’s background in disaster relief, making it a powerful force for change in vulnerable regions.

BLUETTI is stepping up its game by donating over $50,000 worth of clean energy products. These include state-of-the-art models like the EP500 Pro, Elite 200 V2, AC200L, AC180P, and a versatile collection of 350W solar panels. The objective is clear: to provide timely and necessary power support to communities recovering from disasters that disrupt electric grids, especially hurricanes like the notorious Helene of 2024.

Powering Immediate Relief

The Footprint Project, which has been operational in disaster zones since 2018, understands that when disaster strikes, the need for reliable power becomes paramount. They are well acquainted with the hurdles posed by surging demands for electricity in crisis situations. One of the stars of this response initiative is the Elite 200 V2 Solar Generator, known for its portable design and durability, boasting a LiFePO₄ battery capable of lasting up to 17 years. This generator can provide energy to multiple devices simultaneously, from communication tools to medical equipment critical for survivors’ health, showcasing its versatile energy capabilities.

Not only does the Elite 200 V2 serve frontline responders, but the AC200L and AC180P Solar Generators bring additional support by powering small fans and lights, enhancing the comfort of those affected. To top it off, the 350W Solar Panel allows for a quick recharge in sunny locales, ensuring a continuous supply of energy.

Establishing Resource Hubs

As storms threaten and wreak havoc, the Footprint Project’s proactive approach includes the establishment of essential “resource hubs.” These hubs are lifelines that sustain communities until standard power is restored. A centerpiece of these hubs is the EP500 Pro Home Battery Backup with a staggering 5120Wh capacity. This robust unit can maintain critical functions such as safety lighting, refrigeration for medicines like insulin, and even power reconnaissance drones for assessments. Portability is key here, with the unit designed for smooth mobility, ensuring it can be placed where necessary without hassle.

Encouraging Resilience and Community Support

James Ray, BLUETTI’s Brand Representative, articulated the motivation behind this partnership: “Storms remind us of our shared need for power. Our collaboration with Footprint Project to deliver clean energy aid is a natural fit.” He expressed hope that BLUETTI’s solutions can provide comfort amidst chaos, echoing their mission to deliver reliable power where it matters the most.

In harmony with these sentiments, Jamie Swezey, the Program Director at Footprint Project, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Thanks to their equipment commitment, we can expand our outreach and more effectively support communities facing climate emergencies.” Together, BLUETTI and Footprint Project are united in their resolve to enhance disaster response mechanisms, ensuring families are better prepared for the unexpected while advocating for increased hurricane preparedness in regions prone to such natural events.

The Joint Mission

This alliance emphasizes the shared goal between BLUETTI and Footprint Project to deploy clean energy solutions exactly where they are needed—before, during, and after crises. As communities on the frontline of climate challenges receive support, both organizations aim to pave the way for a more resilient future. Their collaborative efforts not only bolster immediate disaster response but also promote long-term structural changes in vulnerable communities grappling with the consequences of climate change.
