Introduction
Nittetsu Kowa Real Estate, based in Minato, Tokyo, has officially started construction on the new office building, the BIZCORE Akihabara Project. This marks the twelfth building in the successful BIZCORE series and is set to be completed by September 2028.
About the BIZCORE Series
The BIZCORE series is recognized for its unique layered aesthetic in design. The upcoming Akihabara project will carry on this characteristic with a fresh facade. Furthermore, the building offers spacious standard floors with a ceiling height of 2,800mm, enhancing the sense of openness for its tenants. The first floor will include a multi-layered security system to protect against unauthorized access and information leaks, ensuring a secure working environment for all the occupants. Additional amenities include designated smoking areas and a rooftop garden, both designed to enhance comfort and provide refreshing spaces for tenants.
Features of the BIZCORE Akihabara Project
Notably, this new office building will feature the first co-working space within the BIZCORE series, called "WAW," strategically located on the second to fourth floors. This co-working area will cater to diverse office needs, with plans ranging from approximately 5 tsubo to 20 tsubo.
The second floor will host a lounge equipped with a balcony, providing meeting rooms and phone booths, alongside shared facilities designed to foster interaction among tenants. By collaborating with the restaurants on the first floor, the environment will support ongoing communication between workers, enhancing workplace dynamics.
The shared amenities, such as lounges and conference rooms, will be accessible not just to WAW co-working members, but also to tenants in the standard office spaces on the fifth to ninth floors, improving overall satisfaction and convenience.
Prime Accessible Location
Located in a highly accessible area, the building is serviced by multiple transport options, including the Toei Shinjuku Line's "Iwamotocho" station and the JR and Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line's "Akihabara" station. This multimodal access offers optimal commuting options for employees and clients.
Efforts to Enhance Tenant Satisfaction
An exciting addition to the first floor will be the debut of a restaurant—an innovation for the BIZCORE series. This facility will provide a casual space for break times and lunch, reinforcing connections among employees and contributing to the community's vibrancy.
In partnership with Opraizon, the building will also include advanced network services across both private tenant spaces and shared areas. This initiative aims to eliminate costs and burdens associated with setting up networks, ensuring new tenants have instant access to reliable internet services upon moving in. The design encapsulates the concept of a productive work environment to facilitate impressive work performance.
Construction Meets High Safety Standards
The structure will exceed existing building code requirements by maintaining strength at 1.25 times the necessary standards. In case of emergencies, the building will feature a designated disaster supplies storage space, stocked with provisions for three days to accommodate tenant needs during a crisis. For upper floors, earthquake-resistant ceilings will be installed, and braces will be used to prevent ceiling falls during seismic activity. Additionally, if there’s a power disruption, the emergency generator will provide energy for unit spaces for over 24 hours.
Rooftop Garden and Work-Life Balance
Maintaining a hallmark of the BIZCORE brand, the rooftop garden will serve as both a work and leisure area, equipped with power access for computers, thus accommodating work tasks while allowing for relaxation.
Commitment to Environmental Standards
The building is set to earn top grades under the BELS (Building Energy Performance Labeling System) and CASBEE (Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency), reflecting commitment to sustainability.
