Fruit Attraction 2025: A New Milestone in Horticulture
From September 30 to October 2, 2025,
Fruit Attraction will make its grand return for the 17th time. This major event, organized by
IFEMA MADRID and
FEPEX, is set to become the largest edition in the history of the trade fair. With Andalusia as the principal sponsor, this year's event will showcase an impressive
2,460 exhibitors hailing from
64 countries, marking an 8.4% increase compared to 2024.
With over
78,000 square meters of exhibition space—which is a
10% increase from the last event—more than
120,000 professionals from around the globe are expected to attend, ranging from buyers to industry leaders. This trade fair is recognized as a strategic platform for business, innovation, and international exposure.
Expansive Growth for 2025
the exhibition will spread over
10 halls at
IFEMA MADRID, specifically organized by region and sector. This arrangement aims to enhance both exhibitors' and visitors' experiences. Approximately
70% of the space will focus on fresh produce, highlighting its critical role in the overall offerings of the event. The auxiliary industry and logistics for fresh food will also have a substantial presence, particularly focusing on cold chain solutions and the transport of fresh products.
Furthermore, this year's
InnovaTech section, which includes
Biotech Attraction and
Smart Agro, has grown significantly, with a remarkable
31% increase in participation compared to 2024. This reinforces its standing as a hub for technological innovation and research applications in the sector.
Among the
2,460 exhibitors,
323 are new companies, reflecting a dynamic expansion within the industry. Spanish participation constitutes
52% of the total, underscoring Spain’s leadership in the global fruits and vegetables market. The international context also shows promising growth, with over
47% of the total exhibitors coming from abroad, featuring
1,418 companies. Notably,
14 new countries have joined the exhibition roster including Algeria, El Salvador, and Vietnam.
Promoting International Expansion
To promote international expansion,
IFEMA MADRID, in collaboration with Spain's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, will activate the
International Buyers Programme, inviting nearly
700 buyers from
67 countries. This program will include retail buyers, importers, and wholesalers, boosting the fair's activity. Special guest countries this year will be
Malaysia and
Mexico, bringing unique collaboration opportunities.
The program will feature a series of roundtable discussions, guided tours, and B2B sessions specifically designed to build business relationships. For 2025, tomatoes will take center stage, focusing on their nutritional value, economic significance, and role in global trade dynamics.
Initiatives like the
Organic Hub Tour will also debut, allowing certified organic companies greater visibility at the event.
Activities and Competitions
Fruit Attraction 2025 has planned a comprehensive array of activities. The
Fruit Forum presented by
Timac Agro will host conferences such as
Grape Attraction and
Biotech Attraction. Other events include the
Biofruit Congress and the
Fresh Food Logistics Summit.
As usual, the
Factoría Chef, sponsored by
#alimentosdespaña, will highlight the culinary versatility of fruits and vegetables through exciting live cooking demonstrations. The
Innovation Hub will showcase
50 innovative products, focusing on new commercial developments within the industry. The popular
Innovation Hub Awards will also return, recognizing creativity, design, and sustainability across exhibition spaces.
Moreover, the
Best Stand Awards will honor exceptional exhibition designs across four categories, while the
APAE Journalism Awards and the
Fruit Attraction Awards will recognize outstanding contributions from renowned media outlets in the fruits and vegetables sector.
Closing the ceremony will be
