The Newly Renovated Summit Store in Nishikoyama

On March 11, 2026, the new Summit Store in Nishikoyama, situated in Shinagawa City, Tokyo, has officially opened its doors. This store is a complete overhaul of the previous Nishikoyama location, which had served the community since 1981 until its closure in June 2024. The redesigned store aims to enhance the shopping experience and connectivity with local residents.

Innovative Features to Enhance Shopping Experience

One of the most exciting additions to the store is the in-store bakery, "Dan Brown," positioned right by the entrance. This bakery offers freshly baked bread and delicious pizzas, along with handcrafted sandwiches made from high-quality ingredients. Adjacent to the bakery, consumers can find a dedicated area for fresh salads and cut fruits, showcasing the commitment to healthy eating and convenience.

In response to customer needs, the store has also introduced assistance staff known as the "Guidance Crew". They are stationed throughout the store to help customers find products and address any shopping queries. Furthermore, a new tasting corner titled "Please Try" allows customers to sample multiple products at once while engaging in friendly conversations with the staff. Summit aims to provide innovative products and services, deepening its commitment to the local community.

Expanding the Local Reach

The opening of the Nishikoyama store has increased Summit's total number of locations to 125, with 92 in Tokyo, 15 in Kanagawa, 12 in Saitama, and 6 in Chiba. This expansion reflects Summit's ongoing efforts to serve more communities across the region.
