Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Anheuser-Busch Commemorate 9/11 with Expanded Partnership

Expanding a Legacy of Honor and Support

In a heartfelt move to commemorate the upcoming 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has broadened its partnership with Anheuser-Busch. This collaboration aims to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the tragedy while actively supporting American military personnel, veterans, and first responders.

The partnership was officially announced on August 5, 2026, highlighting a series of initiatives planned throughout the year, which will culminate in several nationwide events. These events are set to not only raise funds but also commemorate those who sacrificed their lives on that fateful day in 2001.

Nationwide Events to Honor Heroes

The first key initiative involves Anheuser-Busch acting as a National Sponsor for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's Run, Walk, and Climb Series. This event series is scheduled to take place across various locations, providing participants an opportunity to unite in honor of the heroes lost on 9/11. Through local races and activities, communities will come together to remember and pay tribute to the sacrifices made.

On August 8, a significant moment will occur as the Steel Across America campaign will transport a steel beam, an authentic artifact from the World Trade Center, to St. Louis—Anheuser-Busch's hometown. This beam will be prominently displayed outside Busch Stadium, accompanied by a special on-field presentation during a baseball game featuring the St. Louis Cardinals.

In addition to these events, September will witness Anheuser-Busch sponsoring the annual Tunnel to Towers NYC 5K Run and Walk for the fifth consecutive year. This year, an exciting element will be added, as the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales will escort the Siller family during the event's opening procession, further enriching the experience and honoring the legacy of those who served.

A Traditional Message of Respect

As part of this commemorative effort, Anheuser-Busch will also re-air its poignant 2002 'Respect' commercial on September 11, a tribute to those affected by the attacks. This commercial, which had captured the nation’s spirit of resilience following the tragedy, will be shown for just the fourth time ever, marking its importance in American memory and culture.

The Foundation’s Ongoing Commitment

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, founded in memory of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller, has been steadfast in its mission to support the families of fallen heroes. To date, Anheuser-Busch has contributed over $750,000 towards this cause, highlighting their long-standing commitment to honoring America's heroes and their families. Frank Siller, Chairman and CEO of the Foundation, expressed deep gratitude for this partnership, emphasizing that such collaborations serve to ensure that the sacrifices of first responders and service members are never forgotten.

Anheuser-Busch's Legacy of Service

Cesar Vargas, the Chief External Affairs Officer at Anheuser-Busch, underscored the company's dedication to supporting the communities and individuals who have answered the call of duty over the years. With over 10% of the workforce being active service members and veterans, the company is driven by its history of service and community involvement.

As we approach this significant milestone, the partnership between the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Anheuser-Busch stands as a testament to the strength, courage, and resilience of Americans coming together in the face of adversity. Both organizations look forward to the opportunities this partnership brings to communities nationwide, reinforcing the spirit of remembrance and support for those who serve.
