CATL Unveils the Largest Aftermarket Facility for New Energy in the Middle East



On January 10, 2026, CATL, a leader in battery technologies, inaugurated its first NING SERVICE Experience Center in Riyadh, marking it as the largest new energy aftermarket facility outside of China. This groundbreaking establishment is set to amplify CATL's presence in the Middle East and facilitate a transition towards cleaner energy systems within the region.

Key Features of the CENTER


The NING SERVICE Experience Center is designed to support an extensive range of customer services throughout the lifecycle of energy solutions. By offering training for local technical talent and accelerating the adoption of advanced electrification and energy storage solutions, the facility also aims to become a regional hub for diverse stakeholders. It seeks to foster industrial synergies and sustainable growth, which is critical as the Middle East progresses towards ambitious electrification targets under the Vision 2030 initiative and similar national frameworks.

Vision 2030 and Sustainable Goals


As part of its commitment to reducing emissions in the capital by 50%, Saudi Arabia aims for 30% of all vehicles in Riyadh to be electric by 2030. The government is actively promoting the use of electric machinery, including forklifts, and is encouraging clean energy utilization in agriculture through the Saudi Green Initiative. However, challenges, such as dependency on oil, growing electricity demands, harsh climate conditions, and limited charging and service infrastructures, still remain.

Comprehensive Services and Advanced Capabilities


Spanning over 7,000 square meters, the center features exhibition areas, diagnostic and maintenance zones, training rooms, and a customer lounge. It will serve not only as a local service center but also as a platform to showcase CATL’s capabilities in electromobility and smart electrification. The center is envisioned to provide full lifecycle services, including battery diagnosis, repair, maintenance, recycling, aftermarket logistics, and inventory management. This is aimed at ensuring improved uptime, reduced maintenance costs, and extended equipment lifespan for corporate clients.

Training and Local Talent Development


One of the crucial aspects of the center is its focus on localized operations and skill-building. Through specialized training facilities, CATL aims to enhance after-sales and technical expertise in new energy sectors, contributing to job creation and knowledge transfer across the Middle East. With ten training centers globally, and partnerships with vocational institutions, CATL has certified over 9,700 service staff in new energy operations.

Collaborations and Strategic Partnerships


In addition to fostering talent, CATL is bolstering its localization strategy by enhancing local infrastructure and forming partnerships within the ecosystem. Ongoing discussions with local industry leaders, including fuel network operators and major infrastructure firms, aim to expedite the electrification of service stations and truck fleets while facilitating solar and storage solutions. This cooperative approach not only strengthens CATL's market trust but also enables key partners to collectively move forward with comprehensive new energy solutions in the region.

Establishing a Global Network


The opening of this center expands CATL's service presence, which now includes over 1,200 professional service stations in 76 countries and 73 global parts warehouses, boasting more than 370,000 square meters of storage, all stocked with original parts. NING SERVICE has supported over six million electric vehicles worldwide, offering professional services for passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and energy storage systems.

It is not just a commercial venture but a vision for an advanced aftermarket ecosystem that brings together groundbreaking technologies, training, and industry collaboration to foster significant synergies and sustainable growth across the region. CATL plans to further expand its service network in the Middle East, closely aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and supporting the region's energy transition through a reliable and comprehensive service system.
