ECPI University Expands Educational Opportunities with New Campus in Atlanta

ECPI University, known for its career-focused programs across multiple states, has recently announced the launch of its new campus in Atlanta, Georgia. This new educational facility, located at 3101 Towercreek Parkway SE, Suite 700 in Cobb County, aims to bridge the skills gap in the burgeoning local tech sector. With a clear focus on high-demand fields, the Atlanta campus will initially offer accelerated programs in Cyber and Information Security Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, and Mechatronics. These disciplines are essential for supporting the ongoing growth and innovation in the metro Atlanta area, which is becoming a central hub for technology and advanced industries.

"Atlanta is one of the strongest technology and advanced-industry markets in the country, and there is a real gap between the number of open roles and the number of people trained to fill them," says Keever Jankovich, the Campus President of ECPI University’s Atlanta location. This sentiment echoes the current employment landscape, where technology positions have been growing at an astonishing rate. Metro Atlanta ranks third in the country for tech hubs and has seen significant corporate investments, making it imperative for educational institutions to expand training to meet regional needs.

In 2025, Georgia reached an all-time high of $26.3 billion in new business investment, reflecting the increasing demand for a skilled workforce in the technology sector. As technology now accounts for 4.1% of the employment landscape in the Atlanta area, it has grown at a rate 20% faster than the national average since 2010, offering wages approximately 2.5 times higher than the region's average wage. Despite this growth, a significant challenge remains: 55% of jobs within the state are classified as middle-skill, yet only 42% of the workforce possesses the necessary training.

ECPI University's Atlanta campus is designed to enhance, not duplicate, the existing educational framework—complementing programs such as Georgia Quick Start, an extensive technical college system spanning 88 campuses, which continues to provide resources for aspiring professionals in the state. This new establishment also makes strides to minimize barriers for prospective students. With prime access to major transportation routes including I-75 and I-285, commuting students from across the region can easily access the campus, which encompasses 334 parking spaces, a critical feature for a primarily commuter student base.

Jankovich, equipped with over 20 years of leadership experience within higher education, aims to develop programs that align closely with local workforce demands, facilitating direct pathways for students into meaningful career opportunities. Under his leadership, the Atlanta campus will adopt ECPI University’s innovative accelerated learning model, which incorporates day, night, and online courses, with new classes commencing every five weeks. This flexible structure is particularly beneficial for adult students who may be balancing other life responsibilities alongside their educational aspirations.

Since its inception in 1966, ECPI University has been committed to providing hands-on, career-focused education across a variety of sectors, including technology, health sciences, business, and criminal justice. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the university offers associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degrees, serving not only local students but a wider national network via its online programs. Over the years, ECPI University has equipped more than 100,000 graduates to thrive in the workforce, thanks to its industry-driven curricula and strong partnerships with employers.

As the demand for skilled workers continues to escalate, ECPI University’s Atlanta campus stands poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Georgia’s workforce in technology and engineering fields. In this rapidly evolving job market, the establishment of such institutions is essential to ensure that educational supply keeps pace with industry needs, ultimately fostering economic growth and career success for students in the region.
