MIGALO Group's DXYZ Introduces Face Recognition ID Platform FreeiD at Ginbis Headquarters

Enhancing Security and Convenience with FreeiD at Ginbis

The MIGALO Group's subsidiary, DXYZ, has made a significant move by integrating its face recognition ID platform, FreeiD, into the Tokyo headquarters of Ginbis, a well-established confectionery manufacturer. Ginbis, known for its production of biscuits, cookies, and snacks since 1930, has prioritized security and convenience as it relocated its headquarters to a new building in Tokyo. The introduction of FreeiD aims to streamline the entry and exit management for employees and visitors, ensuring a safer environment within the organization.

Why FreeiD?

As part of the initiative to enhance security and improve user experience, Ginbis chose FreeiD as its next-generation authentication technology. This face recognition ID platform allows for a smooth integration alongside existing security cards, thereby addressing both the need for heightened security and user convenience. DXYZ's FreeiD was recognized for its quick authentication speed, high accuracy, and previous successful installations in office buildings. As a result, three distinct entry points—front, visitor, and executive entrances—will now utilize this cutting-edge technology.

When using FreeiD, employees do not need to carry security cards or smartphones; their facial features serve as their identification. Visitors can pre-register their faces, allowing quick and seamless access to the building. The platform's office solution enables integration with various face recognition AI engines and devices using a single face registration, providing an optimal environment for both security and convenience.

With this deployment, Ginbis's Tokyo headquarters is set to boost its security levels while ensuring a comfortable and efficient office environment for its staff and guests. Looking ahead, Ginbis plans to expand the use of FreeiD for its cafeteria payment system and in various branches and production facilities nationwide.

Features of the FreeiD Face Recognition ID Platform

FreeiD, developed by DXYZ, integrates facial recognition technology into everyday life, allowing individuals to connect during work, leisure, and residence without the need for physical IDs like wallets or identity cards. Once a person’s face is registered, they can access various services—entry, payments, and identity verification—all by simply using their face.

This versatile platform works with various facial recognition AI systems, offering tailored solutions for different scenarios. For instance, FreeiD also caters to residential complexes through its innovative “FreeiD Mansion” solution, which enables keyless living in properties where shared and private spaces can be accessed solely through facial recognition technology. By the end of December 2025, it is projected that over 307 FreeiD properties will be completed.

Beyond residential areas, FreeiD's face recognition services have been rolled out in offices, childcare facilities, golf courses, and theme parks. Additionally, the company is testing its facial recognition payment system, FreeiD Pay, which was recently featured in the Aichi Digital Island Project, demonstrating its potential for broader application.

Future Aspirations

MIGALO Holdings remains committed to leveraging its DXYZ subsidiary to develop smart city solutions through facial recognition technology, continuously merging real and digital experiences to enhance various services. By aiming to create an interconnected world through innovative technology like FreeiD, the group envisions a future that simplifies and secures daily interactions.
