From January 8 to January 12, 2026, Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, will host the "Sunshine City World Orchid Fair 2026 – Welcome to the World of Color and Fragrance of Orchids." This event is renowned as one of Japan's largest orchid exhibitions, displaying approximately 800 varieties of orchids, ranging from wild species to the latest hybrid blooms. The exhibition not only showcases a plethora of orchids for display and sale, but also offers expert talks and workshops, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of orchids.

Diving deep into the world of orchid fragrances, visitors will encounter an array of scents ranging from sweet perfume-like aromas to spicy and fruity scents, and even uniquely bold fragrances. A special exhibition focusing on the enchanting scents of orchids, titled "The Mechanisms and Enjoyment of Orchid Fragrance," will be featured alongside unique workshops, special lectures hosted by orchid enthusiasts, and a delightful mini violin concert surrounded by stunning floral displays.
