Recently, it conducted a survey targeting real estate investors to gain a clearer understanding of their perspectives regarding their homes and property investments.

Survey Findings

Among the participants, 51.8% reported owning a house, while 23.7% had an apartment, and 5.3% owned a mixed-use residential property. Comments from respondents included remarks such as having purchased their home prior to engaging in real estate investment. Additionally, many apartment owners expressed that they consider factors like location and rental potential, indicating a forward-thinking approach towards their investment strategy.

When asked whether they consider their home from an investment perspective, an interesting pattern emerged: 42.1% stated that they are somewhat conscious of their homes as investments, while 8.8% fully regard their homes as investment assets. Altogether, this means that over half (50.9%) of the surveyed individuals harbor some level of investment awareness regarding their residences. Contrarily, 34.2% focused primarily on the livability of their homes, without significant investment consideration.

Responses in the open comment sections varied. Apart from intentions for eventual sale or rental utilization, there were mentions of utilizing rental experience for renovation projects, installing solar panels, or even engaging in short-term rentals through mixed-use residences.

Further research into the correlation between investment perspectives and investment experience revealed that the most significant number of respondents who fully regard their homes as investment properties had between 5 to 10 years of investment experience.
