Shiba Park Hotel Expands Book Donation Drive to Share Knowledge and Support Kids

Shiba Park Hotel Expands Book Donation Initiatives

This year, Shiba Park Hotel has taken a significant step to enhance its participation in the Book Baton Project, organized in collaboration with Room to Read Japan. The hotel will be showcasing a “Book Tree” created from books donated by guests and staff, as part of its ongoing commitment to contribute to children’s education worldwide. This initiative allows for the collection of books from June 10th to November 14th, and following exhibition, the books will be sold, with proceeds donated to Room to Read Japan, facilitating access to books for children living in low-income areas around the globe.

About the Book Baton Project

Shiba Park Hotel has partnered with the Book Baton Project since its inception. This year marks its fourth year of involvement, commencing in June 2025. The hotel is delighted to announce an extension of the donation period to encourage more guests to participate. Many visitors, especially international travelers, often express a desire to donate books they’ve read during their stay. As such, the hotel has now established a year-round donation system to easily facilitate such contributions.

When asked about the minimum number of donations, we reassure guests that even a single book is highly welcomed! If you have any books that you have finished reading, do not hesitate to donate them.

Year-Round Donation Option

In response to the requests from our guests for a more convenient donation process, in 2025, Shiba Park Hotel expanded its donation window. Guests can mail their donations if they are unable to bring them in person. If you have books lying around your home that you're ready to part with, please consider donating them to our cause.
