Mark your calendars for December 22, 2025, at 18:00 as the amateur orchestra, Musica Promenade, presents the first edition of 'Tachikawa's Ninth' at the Tamashin RISURU Hall in Tachikawa City. This event is organized by Raise the STREAM, a community group dedicated to fostering cultural activities in Tachikawa, under the leadership of Takeyuki Ogaki.

Musica Promenade has gained recognition for its participation in the film 'Beethoven Fabrication,' where they not only performed but also undertook acting guidance. With over 100 musicians, including participants from elementary school students to seniors in their 80s, this event looks to establish a new annual year-end tradition for the Tachikawa community.

This performance features the renowned Symphony No. 9 by Beethoven, providing a thrilling experience for both seasoned classical music lovers and newcomers alike. The fourth movement will especially resonate with audiences, offering a grand finish for the year.

In addition to the masterpiece by Beethoven, the program will include performances of popular and accessible pieces such as 'Seikai' by RADWIMPS, making it inviting for those who may not regularly enjoy classical music.

Admission Details


The entry fee is set at a reasonable 1,000 yen, and students in high school or younger can enter for free. Tickets are available at the Tamashin RISURU Hall (Tel: 042-526-1311) from 9:00 to 20:00, closed on the third Monday of each month, and at Taimeidō located at 2 Chome-31-1 Hagoromo-cho, Tachikawa (Tel: 042-522-3353).

The event is organized by Raise the STREAM, with Musica Promenade as a co-organizer. This endeavor is supported by the Tachikawa City government, the Tachikawa City Board of Education, the Tachikawa City Community Cultural Promotion Foundation, and the NPO Corporation Gabacho Project, with planning assistance provided by Coe LLC. The logo creation was done by Taku Kosugi.
