TCC Mobilizes Community Support for Domestic Violence Survivors This October

This October, TCC, an authorized retailer for Verizon and a subsidiary of Round Room, LLC, is stepping up to support survivors during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The initiative invites customers and residents to donate their old mobile devices, furthering a noble cause aimed at providing vital resources for individuals facing domestic violence challenges.

Device Donation Drive

Throughout the month, over 600 TCC retail locations across the United States will function as drop-off points for used phones and tablets in any condition. The collected devices will benefit More Than a Phone, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that domestic violence survivors have access to essential communication tools. By recycling these old devices, TCC aims to create a chain of support that connects survivors with loved ones and necessary resources.

Courtney Kibble, the Executive Director of Round Room Gives and More Than a Phone, emphasized the importance of the initiative: "An old phone or tablet sitting unused can have a second purpose when it's donated. Domestic Violence Awareness Month is an important time to come together and support the work being done to help survivors. We hope our communities will take this simple step to make a difference."

How Community Members Can Help

Local residents can participate in this initiative by visiting their nearest TCC store to donate any type of mobile device throughout the month of October. It doesn't matter the condition, as all devices can contribute to the cause. Participants are kindly requested to erase their personal data prior to donation; however, store staff will assist in this process, ensuring all information is securely wiped clean.

Commitment to Community Engagement

The philanthropic spirit is deeply embedded within the operations of Round Room. Community giveback initiatives are essential to its mission, and they often yield positive impacts on local neighborhoods. TCC and Round Room regularly organize events aimed at supporting various local causes, which foster a culture of engagement among their employees and the communities they serve.

In addition to local drives, Round Room has made significant contributions that exceed $11 million to various charities through their community grant program. These funds have supported over 2,000 nonprofits, reinforcing their commitment to social responsibility and community enhancement.
