WIRobotics Selected for the Innovative Physical AI Fellowship Program
WIRobotics, a forward-thinking robotics company, proudly announced its selection to join the second cohort of the Physical AI Fellowship. This notable program is powered by industry giants Amazon Web Services (AWS) and NVIDIA, alongside MassRobotics. Designed to nurture high-potential startups, the fellowship focuses on enhancing practical AI solutions in robotics.
Building on the success of its inaugural cohort, which ran in late 2025, the 2026 edition brings together a total of nine promising startups. These companies span various sectors including agriculture, construction, renewable energy, industrial automation, retail, logistics, robotics data infrastructure, teleoperation, and humanoid robotics applications.
The Physical AI Fellowship offers essential resources such as technical guidance, cloud computing power, and market access to assist teams in transforming their innovative prototypes into reliable, real-world implementations. Participating fellows receive support from AWS scientists and experts, as well as AWS credits, resources from NVIDIA, and access to the facilities and extensive network provided by MassRobotics.
WIRobotics is determined to leverage this opportunity to advance its development of sophisticated humanoid robots. These robots are designed to combine agile manipulation capabilities with AI-driven physical interaction to function effectively in real-world environments. Co-CEO Yong-Jae Kim remarked, “We are honored to be the only humanoid robotics company in this cohort. By integrating human-like physical interactions with our AI expertise, we believe this fellowship presents a meaningful opportunity to explore new possibilities in Physical AI.”
Each fellow participates in the program receives $200,000 in AWS credits and tailored support from AWS’s Generative AI Innovation Center (GenAIIC). They also gain access to AWS’s cloud computing and AI technologies, along with NVIDIA's physical AI stack, which includes the NVIDIA Isaac framework and world-class models from NVIDIA Cosmos. Additionally, the fellowship provides workshops led by NVIDIA trainers and ecosystem support from MassRobotics.
The culmination of this fellowship program is marked by high-visibility showcases at prominent events hosted by AWS, NVIDIA, and MassRobotics, including AWS reInvent 2026, where participants can exhibit their innovative solutions. For those looking to delve deeper into the details of the Physical AI Fellowship, further information is available at MassRobotics’ official website.
