Introduction
Adelance Philippines, a subsidiary of the global wellness company specializing in hair, beauty, health, and medical services, has embarked on a significant partnership with the city of Tabaco in Albay, Philippines. This joint initiative, which began in January 2023, aims to create employment opportunities, primarily focusing on local women in the community. A signing ceremony was held on December 15, 2025, to formally initiate this endeavor.
Project Overview
The project is part of the Sustainable Livelihood Program promoted by Tabaco City. This initiative outlines a structured approach where job seekers can participate in training courses over a specified period. Upon completion of the training, individuals are provided with job opportunities tailored to their skills and aptitudes, ensuring stable income and fostering self-reliance.
Addressing Local Challenges
Adelance has recognized the constraints faced by women in Tabaco City due to limited public transportation and a lack of industries in the suburban area. Many women demonstrate a strong desire to work but have few stable employment opportunities. Hence, this partnership seeks to provide these women with new avenues for gainful employment.
Adelance Philippines is committed to offering training opportunities and jobs focused on hair grafting procedures. Following the signing ceremony, a comprehensive recruitment process and training schedules are expected to commence, aiming to create around 300 jobs in the long run. This initiative aspires to revitalize the local economy and contribute to poverty alleviation efforts.
Executive Comments
Shinichi Chitodo, President of Adelance Philippines, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, "As a Japanese company operating in the Philippines, we are delighted to collaborate with Tabaco City to contribute to job creation and regional revitalization. We are optimistic that this program will lead to stable employment opportunities for those eager to work."
Accompanying Mr. Chitodo during the signing ceremony were notable figures including Reynaldo Bragais, Mayor of Tabaco City, and Shunji Anraku, Factory Director of Adelance Philippines.
